Product Questions

What size heads do you offer?

16″ through 30″, in even sizes.

A note on 16″ and 18″ heads. There are two kinds of small bass drums, and they take different heads. Some use a standard wood bass drum hoop with tension rods and claws (like the Sonor Jungle and Safari kits) — those need the slightly oversized bass hoop size. Others use a metal tom-style hoop with flanges the tension rods pass through (like the Yamaha HipGig) — those need the smaller tom hoop size.

If you've converted a 16″ floor tom into a kick and it still has its tom hoop, you need the tom-hoop size. If you converted it to hoops and claws, you need the bass-hoop size.

The HeadBuilder asks you which one you have, so you don't have to guess or leave a note — just pick the right hoop and the correct head goes on your order.

Need something outside that range, or an unusual size altogether? Get in touch. We've printed for drums well outside the standard sizes, and we'll tell you honestly what's possible.
